9.1 Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example a letter sent by post, fax, or email). Our contact details can be found below. You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (for example by email) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

9.2 Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

Please note that there are some legal exceptions to the right to withdraw, and some items can therefore not be returned or exchanged.  We will let you know if this applies in your particular case.

  1. Airsoft Event Participation and Liability Disclaimer

28.1 Assumption of Risk

Participation in airsoft events involves inherent physical risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, and injuries caused by the use of replica firearms or participation in outdoor activities. By purchasing a ticket and participating in an event, you acknowledge that you are aware of these risks and voluntarily accept full responsibility for your safety and actions during the event.

W.S.A.P Events (Robin De Pauw) shall not be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other losses sustained during attendance at or participation in any airsoft event, whether organized directly by us or by a third-party event organizer.

28.2 Ticketing Errors

It is your responsibility to verify your order before confirming a purchase. We will not be held responsible for any user-side mistakes such as incorrect quantities, wrong ticket types (e.g., group vs. solo), or failure to read event rules or conditions prior to booking.

28.3 Resale and Intermediary Role

In addition to hosting our own events, W.S.A.P Events also resells tickets on behalf of third-party airsoft event organizers. When acting as a reseller, we function solely as an intermediary and are not responsible for the conduct, safety, or fulfillment of those third-party events. Any complaints or disputes regarding third-party events should be directed to the respective organizers.

28.4 Compliance with Belgian Law

All events organized or promoted by W.S.A.P Events are conducted in accordance with Belgian legislation governing hobby sports and airsoft activities. However, it remains the responsibility of each participant to ensure their personal compliance with any local, regional, or national legal requirements applicable to them. We shall not be held liable for any legal consequences arising from an individual’s failure to comply with applicable laws.

28.5 Personal Conduct

Participants are expected to follow all safety instructions and event rules provided by W.S.A.P Events or the third-party organizer. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual found in breach of safety regulations, or who poses a danger to themselves or others.

28.6 By participating in any W.S.A.P Events activity, you grant us irrevocable permission to:

  1. Capture photographs, videos, or audio recordings of you during the event.
  2. Use, edit, and publish this media for:
    • Promotional purposes (e.g., social media, websites, advertisements) without compensation.
    • Commercial purposes, including but not limited to sponsor promotions and partner marketing.
  3. License third parties (e.g., partner organizers, sponsors) to use the media for both commercial and non-commercial event coverage.

Opt-Out:

  • If you do not wish to be photographed, you must notify event staff in writing prior to the event.
  • Alternatively participants may request the removal of a close-up photo by contacting us.
  • While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee exclusion from background or group shots.

Minor Participants:

  • For attendees under 18, a parent/guardian must provide written consent for media use via email ([email protected]) before the event.

28.7 Event Cancellation and Rescheduling
W.S.A.P Events reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule an event at any time for any reason, including but not limited to insufficient participation, safety concerns, weather conditions, or Force Majeure. In the event of a cancellation by the organizer prior to the start of the event, your sole remedy will be a full refund of the ticket price paid, or (at your option) a voucher for a future event of equal value.

28.8 Limitation of Liability for Personal Costs
W.S.A.P Events shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses or expenses incurred by you as a result of an event cancellation, postponement, or termination. This specifically includes, but is not limited to, non-refundable travel expenses, accommodation costs, equipment purchases, or lost wages. We strongly recommend that participants purchase travel insurance to cover such possibilities.

28.9 Termination by Authority or Venue Owner
In the event that an event is interrupted, suspended, or terminated by order of the police, local authorities, any government body, or the owner of the field/venue (for example, due to noise complaints, licensing issues, safety orders, or revocation of permission), W.S.A.P Events is under no obligation to provide a refund, credit, or compensation. Participants acknowledge that such interventions are beyond the reasonable control of the organizer once the event has commenced.

28.10 Termination During Event (Safety/Weather)
If an event is terminated prematurely while in progress due to severe weather, force majeure, or the misconduct of participants, W.S.A.P Events is under no obligation to provide a refund, credit, or compensation.

29. Safety and Equipment Standards

To ensure the safety of all participants, the following equipment standards are mandatory for all events organized directly by W.S.A.P Events. Failure to comply will result in denial of access to the game zone without refund.

29.1 Eye and Face Protection

  • Approved Ratings: All eye protection must carry a valid safety rating of EN166-F, EN166-B, or ANSI Z87+. Glasses without a retention strap or unrated mesh goggles are strictly prohibited.
  • Face Protection:
    • Indoors and CQB: Full face protection (full mask) or a combination of rated eye protection and a lower mesh mask or mouth guard is mandatory for all players.
    • Outdoors: Full face protection is strongly recommended. At a minimum, players must wear rated eye protection. If a player chooses not to wear lower face protection, they do so entirely at their own risk regarding dental injuries.
  • Removal Prohibited: Removing eye protection inside the game zone or designated testing areas is strictly forbidden and grounds for immediate expulsion.

29.2 Footwear and Clothing

  • Participants must wear sturdy footwear suitable for the terrain. Ankle-supporting boots are mandatory for outdoor events to prevent injury. Trainers or open shoes are not permitted.
  • Clothing should be appropriate for the specific event type. We reserve the right to refuse entry to players wearing inappropriate attire, such as offensive symbols or outfits that disrupt the game safety.

30. Weapon Limits and Pyrotechnics

30.1 FPS and Joule Limits

  • All replica firearms must pass a mandatory chronograph test before the event begins.
  • We strictly adhere to standard Belgian Airsoft (AAB) limits. Unless specified otherwise in the specific event briefing, the following maximums apply (measured with 0.30g BBs):
    • Sidearms and Rifles: Max 1.2 Joules (No Minimum Engagement Distance or determined by site rules).
    • DMR: Max 1.7 Joules (Minimum Engagement Distance applies).
    • Sniper (Bolt Action): Max 2.3 Joules (Minimum Engagement Distance applies).
  • Any replica found over the limit will be banned from use. Binary triggers and Ramping modes are prohibited.

30.2 Pyrotechnics and Lasers

  • Prohibited Pyro: Homemade pyrotechnics, open-flame devices, and high-intensity sound flashes above local decibel limits are strictly banned. Only commercial cold-burn smoke and frag grenades approved by the head marshal are allowed.
  • Smoke Colors: Black, White, and Grey smoke are generally prohibited to avoid confusion with real fires, unless explicitly allowed by the venue.
  • Lasers: lasers are prohibited.

30.2 BBs and Ammunition

Mandatory Biodegradable BBs
Strict compliance with Belgian environmental regulations is required.

  1. Events: Only certified 100% Biodegradable BBs are permitted. The use of plastic, non-degradable, or “semi-bio” BBs is strictly prohibited on all outdoor fields.
  2. Prohibited Materials: The possession or use of metal, glass, ceramic, silica, or exploding BBs is strictly forbidden.
  3. Checks: The Organization reserves the right to perform random checks on participants’ magazines and speedloaders. Any participant found using non-compliant ammunition will be immediately expelled from the event without refund.

B. Weight Limits & Joule Creep
To ensure fair play and safety, the following weight restrictions apply unless otherwise specified in the specific event briefing:

  1. Maximum Weight: Participants may not use BBs heavier than 0.30g for standard Assault/AEG class replicas, unless explicitly authorized by the Organization for specific roles (e.g., DMR or Sniper).
  2. Joule Creep: Replicas must pass the chronograph test using the BB weight the player intends to use during the game (or the field standard weight, e.g., 0.30g).
    • If a player is found using a heavier BB weight during the game than what was used to pass the chrono test, resulting in energy levels exceeding the legal limit (Joule Creep), they will be removed from the field.

31. Gameplay Conduct and Rules of Engagement

31.1 Fair Play and Hit Calling

  • Airsoft is a game of honor. If you are hit by a BB on your body or gear, you must clearly shout HIT, raise your hand or replica, and display your dead-rag or red light immediately.
  • Dead Men Don’t Speak: Eliminated players may not communicate enemy positions or tactical info to live teammates.
  • Cheating: Failure to call hits, wiping hits off, or exploiting rules will result in immediate ejection from the event.

31.2 Engagement Rules

  • Blind Fire: You must be able to see your target through your sights. Firing around corners or over obstacles without looking is strictly prohibited.
  • No PANG Rule: Unless specified in the briefing, we generally do not enforce a mandatory PANG rule. Players are expected to aim for the vest or legs rather than the head when close. If a player offers a PANG or Surrender out of courtesy, it should be accepted, but it cannot be claimed as a right.

32. Prohibited Items and Behavior

32.1 Alcohol and Drugs

  • Consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs before or during the game is strictly prohibited.
  • Any participant suspected of being under the influence will be removed from the field immediately and banned from future W.S.A.P Events.

32.2 Aggression

  • Verbal abuse, physical aggression, or intimidation towards players or staff will not be tolerated.
  • We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination based on race, gender, or religion.

33. Authority of Marshals

  • The event Marshals have final authority on all safety and gameplay disputes.
  • Arguments with Marshals on the field are not permitted. If you have a grievance, speak to the Head Marshal calmly in the Safe Zone.
  • Disregarding a Marshal’s direct safety instruction is grounds for an immediate permanent ban from our platform.

34. Safe Zone Protocol

  • The Safe Zone is a strictly neutral area where no firing is permitted.
  • Before entering the Safe Zone, all players must remove the magazine from their replica, clear the chamber by firing remaining shots into the ground or a clearing trap, and engage the safety catch.
  • Dry firing (firing without BBs) inside the Safe Zone is prohibited.

35. Rental Equipment Policy

  • Players renting equipment from W.S.A.P Events are responsible for the proper care of the gear during the event.
  • While normal wear and tear is expected, any damage caused by negligence, misuse, or physical aggression (e.g., smashing the replica against a wall or dropping it) will be charged to the player at the cost of repair or replacement.
  • Lost magazines or batteries must be paid for by the renter.

36. Lost and Found

  • W.S.A.P Events is not responsible for the theft, loss, or damage of personal belongings left in the Safe Zone or on the field.
  • Players are advised to leave valuables in their vehicles or designated lockers if available. Items found on the field will be held for a period of 30 days, after which they will be disposed of.
